On June 11 we shipped the visibility foundation — the structured identity that tells Google and AI systems who Boss Hog is. Four days later you were on KNWA. This report separates the two, answers the questions that matter — do AI tools recommend you, did AI send real customers, are you winning the searches that pay — and names the one gap standing between you and the next jump.
| The question | How we measure it | What happened | Answer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Do AI assistants recommend Boss Hog? | Mentions in 200 real moving questions, 4 AI platforms | 21% of answers — national franchises sit at 34–39% | ▲ 1 in 5 answers |
| Do AIs know you without searching? | Same panel, AI memory only (no web access) | 0.5% → 2.0% → 5.5% across three runs | ▲ compounding |
| Did AI send actual customers? | "How did you hear about us?" on the quote form | 2 named ChatGPT leads · 0 AI referral visits in analytics | ▲ proven — invisibly |
| Do you appear for category searches? | Non-brand Google appearances / day | 31 → 59 per day · 29 → 84 distinct searches | ▲ found |
| Do you rank for them? | Average Google position, non-brand | 26.8 → 23.2 — better, still below the map pack | → the gap |
| Is brand demand growing? | Clicks from brand-name searches / day | 1.3 → 3.1 · 64% of searchers click you · position 2.6 | ▲ held after the TV bump |
| Do AI systems cite the site (Bing)? | Bing Webmaster AI citations since Jun 5 | 5 total — near zero | ▬ not this client's channel |
Yes — 1 in 5 answers, five weeks after launch. And critically, it held for a month after the TV coverage faded, and the deeper layer — what AIs know about you from memory, without searching — has nearly tripled since the June release.
Read the company you're keeping: the names above you are national franchises and the region's largest independent. Boss Hog — a student company whose web presence is six weeks old — is already in the answer set. By platform: Gemini names you in 36% of answers, ChatGPT 26%, Perplexity 20%, Claude 2%. The next milestone is closing on Razorback in the student/UARK niche, where your credential is stronger than theirs.
| Run | AI answers naming you (live search) | From memory (no search) | Panel failures |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jun 3 (baseline) | — | 0.5% | 1 |
| Jun 11 (deploy day) | 19.0% | 2.0% | 0 |
| Jul 14 (today) | 21.0% | 5.5% | 0 |
Two customers named ChatGPT (Jun 28 and Jul 12) — while your analytics recorded zero visits arriving from ChatGPT all period. AI-referred customers don't click links out of a chat; they hear the recommendation, then show up on their own. Without the question on the form, this channel would be completely invisible.
Honest proportions: word of mouth and social carry most leads (as they should for a local mover), Google carries ~13%, and AI is ~4% — small, real, and countable only because the instrument exists. As AI visibility grows (question one), this is the number we expect to climb — and now there's a baseline to climb from.
| Self-reported source (Jun 28 – Jul 12) | Leads |

Demand grew and stayed grown. Quote requests are running ~6× the pre-launch rate in the clean weeks — after the TV bump ended. Category search appearances doubled and held. AI recommendations ticked up. The lines move together, which is what a working funnel looks like.
The one honest asterisk: the deploy (Jun 11) and the KNWA feature (Jun 15) are four days apart, so their effects on brand searches can't be separated — we don't try. What's cleanly attributable to the visibility work is the category-search coverage and the AI layer; what's cleanly yours is the TV moment; the quote growth is both, sustained.
| Week of | Quotes | Non-brand appearances/day | Brand clicks |

One thing: the map pack. You now appear for 84 different customer searches — but at an average position of 23, below where the clicks happen. Google's local three-pack (the map box) takes nearly all click traffic for "movers near me" searches, and entry is earned off the website: review velocity, Google Business Profile activity, and consistent local citations.
That's why the plan below is weighted off-page. The on-page foundation is done and proven (the AI layer says so); the next lever is the pack. One more thing worth knowing: the searches you're newly appearing for skew commercial and office moves — a higher-ticket segment your site barely talks about yet.
We can say: 1 in 5 AI answers about NWA moving now names Boss Hog, and it held after the news cycle. AI systems increasingly know the brand without searching (0.5% → 5.5%). Two customers have named ChatGPT as how they found you — provable, on the record. Category-search visibility roughly doubled, and quote requests run ~6× the pre-launch rate in clean weeks.
We won't say yet: which of the deploy or the KNWA feature drove the brand-search surge (four days apart — inseparable, and we won't pretend otherwise); that AI is a major lead channel today (it's ~4% of named leads — real and growing, not big); or that anything here predicts the fall, when student-moving season ends. Six weeks of data earns six-week claims.
